When GTA 6 pre-orders went live on June 25, 2026, we finally got to see the official price for the game. GTA 6, the Standard Edition costs £69.99, and the Ultimate Edition is priced at £89.99. This is the official price for both PlayStation and Xbox consoles. As there's no official PC release announced for GTA 6, we'll have to wait a little bit longer to know the price for this platform.

GTA 6 price: lower than expected
When the first GTA 6 rumours dropped, the conversation quickly jumped to the price of the game. With pricing for AAA titles rising over the last few years, some expected GTA 6 to cost around $100, as one fan shared on Reddit. The potential high cost of Grand Theft Auto 6 had some gamers worried, but after a couple of quotes by Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick in an interview with The Game Business and a presentation on iicon that hinted at a lower price tag, most gamers were relieved.
And that relief was warranted since the £69.99 ($79.99 US) is in line with other AAA standards. As the table below shows, the majority of major releases in 2024 and 2025, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and Monster Hunter Wilds, all launched at $70. The only recent title to break above that ceiling is Mario Kart World, which launched at $80 on the Nintendo Switch 2.
