The online features of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are super cool. Online, you can fight against your friends, but you can also challenge complete strangers. If you’d rather play with your friends, you can create a private room to invite them. You can even use the Nintendo Switch Online special smartphone app to voice chat with your friends - while playing. Nice, huh?

2. Trade and evolve your Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Wat je ook kiest, het is de bedoeling dat je een ‘Link Code’ invult. Dit is een 8 cijferige code die jij, en de persoon waarmee je ruilt, identiek in moeten vullen. 

Pokémon evolueren zonder te traden

Waar je bij andere games bepaalde Pokémon alleen kon evolueren door te ruilen, kun je nu ook zonder te ruilen deze Pokémon evolueren. Hiervoor heb je wel een ‘Linking Cord’ nodig. Dit item kun je, zoals alle andere ‘evolutionary items’, voor Merit Points bij Simona kopen. Ruilen met je vrienden blijft daarom nog steeds de goedkoopste en beste manier! Pokémon die je door te ruilen of met de Linking Cord kunt evolueren zijn:

3. Sabotage your friends online in Mario Party Superstars

Do you remember the days of Mario Party on the Nintendo 64: making your friends’ lives miserable by stealing their stars, and whatnot? Well, good news! With Mario Party Superstars you can relive those fun times - even online! 

In Mario Party Superstars you have a few options to play online. First off, there’s the ‘Online Play’ option. If you enter this mode and select the ‘Global Game’ option, you’ll be matched with random players online. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to communicate with the players you’ll meet here, but it’s tons of fun anyway.

4. Trade, battle or show off your Pokémon in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

In the remakes of the over 15-year-old Nintendo DS games, you can not only trade Pokémon online; you can also engage in battles and dig up fossils together in the Grand Underground. Another fun feature is the addition of Super Contest Shows in which you can show off your Pokémon and win prizes! Note that these options will require a software update to function properly. 

So how does it work? Well, in the game you can go to different Rooms. Head over to the Union Room to trade Pokémon locally or online, or to battle other trainers. 

If you choose the Local Room, you can only trade and fight with a local connection. Whereas if you head over to the Global Room, you can join players from all over the world to battle, trade, and perform other online activities.

If you want to visit a friend, choose the option ‘I wanna fly!’. Then select ‘I want to visit someone’. You can either search for a friend or play with someone by sharing your Dodo Code. Easy, right?
