Are you a true fan of the Gears of War franchise? You’re in luck! The next instalment in this incredible series, called Gears of War: E-Day, is planned to release in 2025. This was first announced during the Xbox Showcase back in June. It’s a prequel that takes place fourteen years before the events of the first Gears of War game.
You might have guessed from the title, but the game takes place during Emergence Day, which is the day when humankind first made contact with Locust. That means every second in this game counts!

Little Nightmares is an adorable puzzle platformer where you follow the story of Six. This faceless heroine has to escape the Maw, which is an iron prison filled with gruesome monsters. As of now, two games in the franchise have been released and both were met with unbelievable praise. Supermassive Games announced Little Nightmares III at Gamescom 2023 with an initial release date in 2024.
However, in May the developer posted a statement on X saying that the release date will be moved to 2025 as they need more time. That means we have more to look forward to!

Welcome to the dark ages! The latest instalment in the popular DOOM franchise will take place in a world inspired by mediaeval times. That means the slaying takes place in a dark fantasy realm filled with old castles and dragons. But don’t worry, the trailer clearly shows that The Dark Ages will be every bit as gruesome and gory as the other games in the franchise.

In 2025, we hopefully can enjoy a brand-new Pokémon game! This instalment has a lot of promise. In Pokémon Legends Z-A we’ll return to Lumiose City, which you might recognise from the iconic Pokémon X and Y. It also carries the ‘Legends’ title that we first saw in Legends Arceus. This game introduced some exciting elements like an open-world environment, riding and flying on Pokémon and more focus on research. There’s a big chance we can expect these same elements in Pokémon Legends Z-A!

Ever since we saw the trailer for Death Stranding 2 during the State of Play presentation in May, we’ve been eagerly awaiting this game. In the follow-up to the iconic Death Stranding, we again follow Sam Porter Bridges as he tries to put a new population together. All the while he has to fight his way through a strange post apocalyptic world filled with gruesome monsters.
The second instalment looks even bigger and more impressive than the first game. With incredible visuals and what seems to be a captivating story, we’re curious to see how the second instalment will live up to its iconic predecessor.

At this point, it seems like the whole world is waiting for GTA VI to come out. Will 2025 finally be the year? In an interview with IGN, Take-Two Interactive's CEO says he’s very confident the game will come out next year and that the release date will be in fall 2025. But Reddit users are already putting this claim to the test, saying that fall 2025 means spring 2026 in Rockstar Games’ eyes. We’re keeping our hopes up that we can play this awesome game next year!
