A Nintendo eShop Card is a prepaid gift card for Nintendo. It allows you to top up your Nintendo eShop credit. You can use this balance to make purchases in the online Nintendo shop. These gift cards for Nintendo are available in denominations ranging from £15 to £100.

You can use your Nintendo eShop Card to add funds to your Nintendo account. Simply redeem the code, and your account will automatically be topped up with the total amount stated on the gift card.

With Nintendo eShop credit, you can buy anything from the Nintendo eShop, including Nintendo Switch games, DLCs, season passes, indie games, in-game credits, and subscriptions. All of these can be downloaded directly to your Nintendo Switch.

Finally, you can also give a Nintendo gift certificate to a friend. This person can then easily purchase their favourite product from the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo Switch Online is an online membership that allows you to play games online on your Nintendo Switch. You can choose a 12 months membership or a 3 month subscription.

In addition, you can also opt for the Nintendo Switch Online Family membership. This allows you to share the benefits of a Nintendo subscription with up to eight family members or friends.

In order to redeem your code, you'll need an internet connection. Your Nintendo voucher can be redeemed via your internet browser or console. We'll explain how: 

Via your internet browser:

  1. Go to ec.nintendo.com/redeem and log in to your account.
  2. Enter the Nintendo code and follow the instructions on the screen.

Via your Nintendo Switch:

  1. Click on the Nintendo eShop in the HOME menu.
  2. Select the account you want to use.
  3. Click on "Use Code" on the left side of the screen.
  4. Enter the digital code of the Nintendo  Switch gift card.
  5. Select "Confirm", and you're done!

No, as of 29 August 2022, Nintendo eShop Cards no longer work for Nintendo 3DS or Wii U. These prepaid gift cards can only be redeemed on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch consoles.
