Margaret “Mad Maggie” Kōhere is the newest addition to the Apex Legends character roster. This fearless Rebel Warlord grew up alone in the dusty lands of Salvo until she met Walter Fitzroy, alias Fuse. Together they grew into a powerful mercenary duo known as “the Cracked Talon”. During these days, Margaret earned her nickname Mad Maggie.
Ultimately, Fuse left Maggie to join the Apex Games. Maggie saw this decision as a betrayal of their friendship and in return, she sabotaged Fuse’s entrance into the Apex games. During their final exchange, Maggie seemed to have fallen to her death. Instead, she was captured by the Syndicate and sentenced to a fight to the death in the Apex games.
Just like any other Legend, Mad Maggie has three different abilities: a Tactical Ability, a Passive Ability and of course, an Ultimate Ability.

In Season 12, Olympus is getting a fresh new look. Due to a failed test with Phase technology, Olympus has been relocated very close to the city below it. On top of that, the map has been expanded with various new Points Of Interest, such as Phase Driver and Terminal.
Phase Driver is a new location in the expanded South of Olympus that connects all surrounding POIs. A nice bonus for players dropping Phase Driver is the interactive Phase Driver device. Interact with this device and the Phase Driver will drop 3 loot balls, one of which is Gold-Tiered. But be careful, each activation of the Phase Driver device will set off a loud noise that can be heard in the surrounding area, so you may attract some unwanted company.
Terminal is another new POI that serves as the new central routing area for Olympus. Thanks to 5 entry points and several elevated platforms, you can now easily access surrounding areas such as Labs and Bonsai.
With the Phase Driver in place, existing areas such as Solar Array, Icarus and Bonsai have shifted away from the center of the map. This means that for the first time in Apex history, POIs have moved within the same map without getting destroyed. Other small map changes include a new north east path that connects Turbine to Rift and some additional routes that make it easier to move through linear choke points.
Season 12 of Apex Legends kicks off with a brand new game mode: Control. This limited-time 9v9 mode is only available for the first three weeks of Defiance and features infinite respawns. In Control, your objective is to earn points by controlling three zones around the map. The more points you own, the more points your team earns every second. If a team reaches the score limit of 1.250, they win.
Fortunately, death is never the end of the road in Control as your team has unlimited respawns. Choose your spawn and choose your loadout upon each respawn and try to come up with different strategies to outsmart your opponents. On top of that, Timed Events will spice up the gameplay with Capture Bonuses for certain areas and Airdrops that contain powerful crate weapons. You can even get your hands on better weapons by capturing zones and killing enemies as these actions increase your “personal Rating”. But don’t get too aggressive, because your Rating resets on death. Control is only available for a limited time and is played on the familiar Hammond Labs on Olympus and Barometer on Tropic.
