The Dutch company, formerly known as Lost Boys Games, went through a lot of changes, such as mergers, name changes, you name it! But eventually they became the Guerrilla Games we know today. And even though they are now well known worldwide, the headquarters is still based in Amsterdam.
Previously, Guerrilla Games also developed games for Xbox and PC. But since the company became a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment in 2005, they now exclusively focus on PlayStation platforms. This means that you can play Horizon Zero Dawn and the new Horizon Forbidden West on your PlayStation 4 or 5!
The Dutch studio has been developing games for a while now. In 2004, they developed their first big game ShellShock: Nam '67 under the name Guerrilla Games. After that, they became super famous for the cool Killzone games; Killzone 1, 2 and 3, Killzone Shadow Fall and Killzone Liberation.
In 2017, Guerrilla Games developed the wildly popular game Horizon Zero Dawn. They even won a Gouden Kalf for "Beste Interactive"! Did you already finish this spectacular game? Don't worry. The release date of the latest Horizon game is finally here!
You might not expect it, but besides the Horizon games, the Netherlands has developed many more epic games! We’ve put together a small selection of the best Dutch games for you:

Originally, eight students from Utrecht came up with this game and developed it for the PC. But after the release, an American company named THQ became so enthusiastic about the Blob, that they subsequently gained the rights to this game. Later, this puzzle game was released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and many more platforms.
