What is the Tactical Ops event in Halo Infinite?

The Tactical Ops event is the latest limited time event that will be coming to Halo Infinite. It will most likely be focused on the Tactical Slayer game mode, in which players are equipped with a Battle Rifle and without a shield, allowing them to finish off opponents with one clean headshot.

Just like with past limited time events the Tactical Ops event will feature a unique reward track with themed items such as Armor Coatings, Weapon Coatings, Helmets and many more unlockables to fully customize your Spartan.

You can progress on this reward track by completing special Event Challenges, which are often tied to a limited time game mode that is introduced together with the event. For example, in the Fracture Tenrai Event all challenges were tied to the Fiesta game mode and in the Cyber Showdown they were tied to the Attrition game mode.

Although 343 Industries has not announced which game mode will be featured in the Tactical Ops event, it is rumored that the following variations of the Tactical Slayer game mode will be part of the next event:

• Tactical Slayer Stalkers
• Tactical Slayer Commandos
• Tactical Slayer Sidekicks
• Tactical Slayer Manglers
  
  

When will the Tactical Ops event start?

There has been no official confirmation from 343 Industries as to when the Tactical Ops event will kick off. However, it is rumored that the event will arrive on March 8 and run for 2 weeks until March 21. This release date would be one week after the return of the Fracture Tenrai event, which is coming back for a fourth time from February 22 until March 1.

What are the rewards from the Tactical Ops event?

The free rewards that players can earn in the Tactical Ops event have not been officially confirmed, however based on items that have been found in the game files, we can speculate that the following unlockables will be featured as rewards in the Tactical Ops event:

• Rank 2: Purple Armor Visor
• Rank 3: Emile’s Helmet Weapon Charm
• Rank 4: Crossing Swords Backdrops
• Rank 5: Mark V Zeta Helmet
• Rank 6: Mark VII Chest Attachment
• Rank 7: Mark VII Hip Attachment
• Rank 8: Mark VII Gloves
• Rank 9: Mark VII Armor Coating (Orange & Silver)

You will be able to earn all these rewards by completing Event Challenges once the Tactical Ops event is launched.
