FIFA 22 Tips, Tricks, and Everything That’s New!

FIFA 22 has been out for a week and everyone is progressing steadily with their favorite squad. To keep you updated on everything FIFA, we’ve gathered the best tips and tricks for your continued football journey. We’ll also go over all new features to bring you up to speed if you haven’t given FIFA 22 a try. Let’s dive right in!

HyperMotion

The primary new feature of FIFA 22 is the introduction of HyperMotion. This revolutionary technology uses real-human movement data to power realistic player and team movement. Enjoy more responsiveness, intensity and physicality of every player thanks to over 4000 new HyperMotion animations. Attacking and defending has never felt this good!

Gameplay Features

Aside from more realistic animations, you can experience several new gameplay features in FIFA 22. Thanks to a full goalkeeper rewrite, your last line of defence is more reliable and smarter. You’ll even notice the difference in styles between goalkeepers, reflected by their positions and reflexes. Ball physics are also significantly improved thanks to real-world data. Every touch feels better with adjusted speed, swerve, drag and resistance. Trying to create more goal opportunities? Use the new explosive sprint feature to leave defenders in the dust. You are in control of player acceleration with this new gameplay mechanic! Finally, you have more control over your team with new attacking tactics: explode into offense, play from box to box or innovate with your very own team style.

FUT 22

FIFA’s fan-favorite FUT mode is back with a redesigned Division Rivals structure. The ranked system now offers seasonal progression. After each Season, Division resets will determine your rank for the next Season. Your Division Rivals journey is better than ever with checkpoints to make sure you stay at the right level of play, even after a tough loss. You can even rise through the ranks thanks to win streaks that reward you for going undefeated for longer periods of time.

Qualify for FUT Champions through Division Rivals and discover the new two-tier structure that perfectly ties into your schedule. Survive the play-offs during the week and head onto the finals in the weekend once you’re ready.

Celebrate your favorite football moments with the introduction of FUT Heroes. These players represent memorable hero moments such as Tim Cahill’s overhead kick against Chelsea or Diego Milito’s goals in the Champions League final of 2010. All FUT Heroes provide a green Club link to any player within the same league so they’re definitely worthwhile!

Now that we’ve gone over the most important new features in FIFA 22, let’s get you started with some useful tips and tricks for your FUT journey!

1. Take advantage of the Web App and the Companion App

If you’re serious about FUT 22, you’ll definitely want to use the FIFA 22 Web App and Companion App. With these tools, you can manage your squad without logging into the game. You can access nearly all FUT features on the go, either on your browser (via the Web App) or on your mobile device (via the Companion App). Edit your current team, complete Squad Building Challenges or open new packs in the store. This makes the Web App and the Companion App the perfect way to effectively manage your team. Even more important: you’ll have access to the transfer market, anywhere and anytime. The transfer market will be quite unpredictable, especially during the first weeks after release. So use these tools to your advantage by trading and investing in new players at the right moment!

2. Select your players carefully

One week into FIFA 22, the new meta for this year is slowly starting to get formed. Of course, the question then arises: what should you be looking for when selecting new players for your team? This entirely depends on the position of the player.

Strikers will mainly benefit from a good Pace stat. Pace determines your speed and enables you to create opportunities. You’ll also want to look for players with 4 star skill moves and a good weak foot, so you can surprise your opponent with unpredictable actions.

Midfielders on the other hand, are better off with good overall stats. Choose players that can round off your team with decent Passing, Shooting, Dribbling and Pace. Defensive midfielders will also benefit from good Defense and Physical stats, and of course a good weak foot never hurts on your midfielders.

Defenders are once again going to need a nice Pace stat. You need to be able to chase fast strikers like Mbappé so good Pace is a must-have. You’ll also benefit from Pace on your backs so they can transition to offense more quickly. Your centre backs are definitely going to need good Defense and Physical stats in order to stop offensive threats from your opponent.

Goalkeepers are your last line of defense and will require specific stats to function properly. Look for goalies with good Height so you can intercept high crosses and corners. You’ll also want to keep an eye on good Traits such as “Rushes Out Of Goal” to stop strikers in time or “Long Throw” to set up counter attacks even faster.

3. Use Squad Building Challenges, Milestones and Objectives to unlock rewards quickly

During your first couple of weeks on FIFA 22, you’ll want to start racking up Coins and Player Packs as fast as possible to boost your progress. A good way to get started is with Squad Building Challenges. Earn new Player Packs by exchanging players according to your current Squad Building Challenges. Start by making your first three exchanges and work your way up to Prime Player Packs by turning in players from different leagues and nations. You’ll also want to keep track of your Objectives and Milestones as they are a great way to quickly earn new rewards. Once you’ve stacked enough Coins, it’s time to head out onto the transfer market.

4. Use the transfer market to your advantage

If you use it correctly, the transfer market is your ticket to a perfect squad! Coins will be rather scarce during the first weeks of FUT 22, so the transfer market provides some interesting opportunities to get you started. A common strategy that players use to obtain new players is called “Sniping”. Sniping refers to buying players below their actual market value, saving you lots of Coins. Keep an eye out for interesting deals and don’t be afraid to pull the trigger as there are lots of other players Sniping out there with you! Do you prefer to play it safe? You can invest in meta players on your team by holding on to them for a little while. Wait for other players to earn more Coins and you’ll see your top players increase in value. The opposite goes for non-meta players: don’t try to hold on to these cards for too long because the market can be very unstable and you might lose out on extra Coins once these players get too common.

You’re now ready to dive back into FIFA 22! Get back out there and rise through the Divisions with your new FUT expertise!
