When is EA FC 27 coming out?
Unfortunately, we don’t have an official release date for EA FC 27 yet. However, based on previous releases, most players expect the game to release on September 25, 2026. We’ve collected the previous release dates and pre-order dates:

Since all these games were released on the last Friday of September, it seems highly plausible that EA FC would follow that trend. That would mean that EA FC 27 would indeed release on September 25, 2026. However, we have to wait for an official announcement from EA FC to see if this date is actually correct.
Will EA FC 27 have early access?
There’s no official information on EA FC 27 early access yet. But it’s very likely that the Ultimate Edition of the game will come with early access to the game. Based on the early access the last EA FC games had, it'll likely start 7 days before the official release date.
Which platforms will EA FC 27 be on?
As of now, it seems likely that EA FC 27 will at least release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and the Switch 2. Whether the game will also come to previous-gen consoles, like the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, we can’t say for certain yet.
How much will EA FC 27 cost?
Based on rumours, other releases and previous EA FC games, most players seem to agree on the following prices for Xbox and PlayStation:
- Standard Edition: £69.99/$69.99/€79.99
- Ultimate Edition: £99.99/$99.99/€109.99
Prices for Switch and Steam are expected to be lower:
- Standard Edition: £54.99/$59.99/€59.99

EA FC The Grounds
Will EA FC go open-world? Yes, you heard that right! There are plenty of clues that EA FC 27 will have this feature. Back in November 2025, EA FC ran playtests for an open-world feature called The Grounds. Now, the company has filed a trademark application for ‘FC The Grounds’ on Justia. We can’t say for sure yet, but it seems highly likely that EA FC 27 will include this open-world mode.
Cover players?
Who will follow in Jude Bellingham’s footsteps as the EA FC 27 cover star? Unfortunately, we don’t know that yet. Based on a recent leak, it might be the Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo. If true, it would be the first time the popular player returned to a FIFA cover since 2019.
