It’s October and the Halloween season has officially been kicked off. A new month also means new games with Xbox Live Gold. This month, Xbox gamers can get spooky with four free games, including Castlevania: Harmony of Despair and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X. Are you up for some scares?
The first spooky title for October is Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. In this 2D platform-adventure game, you take on the role of your favorite vampire hunters from the Castlevania series. This installment of Castlevania also features the first multiplayer mode in the franchise. Team up with up to 6 players and clear all rooms to take on the final boss. Feeling competitive? Try out the new versus mode and battle it out with your friends! There’s even more fun to be had with additional content such as extra stages and more playable characters. Looking to calm down after your Castlevania and Resident Evil journeys? Aaero is the perfect change of pace! In this rhythm action rail shooter, you control a ship through musical visualizations. As the music is playing, light beams will form and move based on the current part in the song. Follow the tracks and absorb the light while targeting dangerous obstacles and traps. Controls are simple and intuitive with a simple “twin-stick” layout: you steer your ship with the left stick and you target objects with the right stick. Aaero includes a fresh and original electronic dance music soundtrack, featuring artists such as Flux Pavilion, Noisia, Muzzy and Katy B. Can you feel the rhythm? Download Aaero for free between October 1 and 31.
