Warzone Season 3 is about to launch, will there be a new Warzone map? And what else can we expect from the franchise this new season? That, and many more answers to CoD questions can be found here!
The official Call of Duty social media channels have now confirmed: Warzone Season 3 will start on April 22. Of course, this was already expected as the Season 2 Battle Pass expiration countdown was a good indicator for the start of a new season. It was hinted on Twitter that "the end was near" in a mysterious tweet from Call of Duty itself.
But WHAT exactly is that "ending" they are talking about? The end of the current map? Or simply the ending of the season, no more, no less. It could be anything, which is why any hints, leaks or reveals are so closely monitored by fans. Whatever it may be, we’ll have to wait to find out until it’s April 22!
The speculations and expectations regarding a new Warzone Map are perhaps the most subject to rumors and gossip. Unfortunately, there is not much meaningful to say about it yet.
Many fingers are pointing in the direction of a Warzone Season 3 map that mainly takes place in the Ural Mountains. We do know the 80’s theme will continue to linger, matching the Cold War atmosphere. We've already seen some large-scale Ural maps in the Fireteam and Outbreak modes within Cold War. So it could just be that this Ural environment will be extended considerably in Warzone Season 3.
It is also hinted that Verdansk will be overrun by zombies, with a Warzone Nuke Event marking the final ending of Season 2 (and thus the start of Season 3).
Finally, there are some rumors that the new Warzone will have 250 players. This is not confirmed anywhere, so it remains to be seen whether this is just gossip or whether the number of players will actually be expanded.
