How does Airbnb work?
Airbnb is an online platform that allows you to rent (or let) private accommodations or Experiences. Allowing you to stay in some of the most unique places anywhere in the world.
Simply go to the Airbnb website and choose the location where you want to book your stay. You will see a list of available accommodations and can also see where they’re located on the map.
How can I use Airbnb’s services?
You will first need an Airbnb account. You can create your very own Airbnb account in just a few simple steps. Just go to Airbnb.com and choose Sign Up and fill in the required information.
How do I book a stay on Airbnb?
Picking the best place for your stay has never been easier, as Airbnb provides you with all kinds of filters so you can find the perfect place to match your preferences, travel party and budget:
Find an accommodation
To get started with this, you need to give some information, like the location you’re traveling to, the arrival and departure dates and the number of people you’re going with.
Choose the type of room
There are some options to narrow your type of accommodation. You can choose a full (private) home, a private room, a hotel room (in a hostel for instance) or a shared space where you might have to share it with other travelers.
Set your price range
Everyone’s budget is different and this way you will never pay more than you anticipated beforehand. By the way, using our Airbnb voucher can also help with that!
Choose additional services
You can always choose which ‘extras’ you would like your stay to offer, such as free Wi-Fi, a pool, free parking space or a high chair if you’re traveling with kids.
Flexible cancellations
If you’re not sure about your trip or booking yet, you can turn on the filter for ‘Flexible Cancellations’. This only shows places that allow you to cancel your booking at the very last minute without any additional costs.
How do I redeem my Airbnb code?
Redeeming our Airbnb code is super easy! Here’s how to do it:
- Sign up or log in on https://www.airbnb.nl/gift
- Type your code and click the ‘Redeem Gift Card’ button
- The Airbnb credit will be added to your personal account and automatically applied when you book
How do I pay for my stay with an Airbnb gift card?
If you choose to use our Airbnb gift card, the credit will be added to your account after you redeemed the code. Once you book another stay, the payment will automatically be deducted from your Airbnb account.
In which locations is my Airbnb credit valid?
The Airbnb codes from Startselect can be used to book Airbnb accommodations or Experiences in the following locations:
- Germany
- Austria
- The Netherlands
- Belgium
- France
- Spain
- Italy
- United Kingdom
Can I exchange or get a refund on my Airbnb credit?
No, our Airbnb gift cards cannot be exchanged, refunded or resold for money. As soon as your Airbnb code is redeemed and the credit is added to your Airbnb account, you cannot transfer it to another person or another Airbnb account.
It is also not possible to exchange the Airbnb credit for money. Airbnb credit is considered a legal payment method to use on the Airbnb platform and can be used to pay for any of the services provided by Airbnb.
How long is my Airbnb credit valid for?
The Airbnb codes and credit is valid indefinitely which means it will never expire. If you have not redeemed your code in your personal Airbnb account yet, it is still possible to give the code to someone else.
Once your Airbnb code is redeemed on your account, the credit will safely stay on it until you use it to make a booking via the Airbnb platform. If there’s not enough Airbnb credit on your account to cover the cost, you will be able to use Airbnb’s various other payment methods to complete the payment.
