Amazon payment methods: How to pay on Amazon

Frequently shop at Amazon, but want to change your payment method? Here’s everything you need to know about the payment methods Amazon accepts and how to manage your payment options efficiently.

Amazon supports a variety of payment methods, including:

• Credit & Debit Cards – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and UK-based Maestro.
• Amazon Gift Cards & Vouchers – Available at Startselect, redeemable for purchases on Amazon.
• Instalments by Barclays – It depends on your eligibility if you can pay at Amazon with instalments.

Some popular payment methods, such as Apple Pay, Klarna*, PaysafeCard, and PayPal, are not directly available on Amazon. However, there’s no need to worry! How do I add a payment method on Amazon?

Follow these steps to add a payment method to your Amazon account:

1. Click on Accounts & Lists in the top right corner of Amazon’s homepage (under your name).
2. Select Your Payments menu (typically found on the right hand side near the top).
3. Click on Add a payment method.
4. Enter your card details or select another payment option.
5. Save the changes, and your new payment method will be available for future purchases.
   
   

How do I change my payment method on Amazon Prime Video?

To update your payment details for Amazon Prime Video, follow these steps:

1. Hover over your profile image icon in the top right of the Prime Video homepage.
2. Click Account & Settings from the dropdown menu.
3. Select Manage Payment Methods.
4. Locate the card associated with your Prime subscription.
5. Select your chosen card from the list and hit continue on the right hand side of the page.
6. If needed, add a new card by selecting Add a credit or debit card in the bottom left.
