What’s new in Warzone?

Fissures are tearing up Verdansk and new Points of Interest have been revealed! Hop into Warzone and discover the remains of Stadium and Downtown. The cranes around Stadium have collapsed and you can now maneuver across all levels of the stadium, even the cracks in the ground. Downtown has also been destroyed by the seismic charges: several buildings have toppled so you’ll have to fight with less verticality in this part of the map. Looking forward to Call of Duty Vanguard? Get a sneak preview of what’s to come with World War II bunkers that have been revealed by the fissures.

Fight for redeployment in a new Gulag that pays homage to the original Warzone Gulag. The new arena is slightly altered but the rules are the same: eliminate your opponent and get right back into the action!

What’s new in Zombies?

Zombies players can also look forward to tons of new content in Season 6. Discover the epic conclusion to the storyline in the brand new “Forsaken” map. The final Zombies chapter features a new Main Quest and the new “Chrysalax” Wonder Weapon. This powerful battle axe was forged in the Dark Aether and functions both as a melee weapon and a rapid-fire energy blaster. Fans of the classic Zombies mode will also be delighted to know that the PhD Flopper perk is returning as the reimagined PhD Slider perk. After drinking a can of PhD Slider, you’ll be able to slide into zombies to create an explosion. Use your Aetherium Crystals wisely to upgrade the effects of the new perk to become even deadlier.

Looking for more equipment to slay the undead? Try out the new ARC-XD and operate a remote-controlled explosive device that acts as a decoy but also kills and blasts away zombies. The Hand Cannon from Multiplayer also makes its way into the Zombies universive in Season 6. Target Specials and Elite enemies with this powerful but slow-firing handgun

What’s new in Multiplayer?

Ready for some Multiplayer action? Season 6 offers three brand new maps on day one! Get a glimpse into Adler’s broken mind on the 6v6 “Deprogram” map or discover a Soviet recreation of an American town in the 6v6 “Amerika” map. If you prefer close-quarters combat, Gluboko is your go-to map in Season 6. Battle it out in Gunfight and Face Off in this underground KGB Headquarters. 

Increase your firepower on these Multiplayer maps with five new weapons! Dominate every building with the .410 Ironhide shotgun or control longer ranges with the GRAV assault rifle. Later in the Season, you’ll also get your hands on the new LAPA submachine gun. In need of some new tools for hand-to-hand combat? Wield the two-handed Battle Axe at the start of Season 6 or unlock the Hammer and Sickle dual wield weapons in-season. All of these weapons are also available in Warzone and Zombies!

In addition to new maps and guns, there are also tons of new customizations options with Operators and Bundles. Play as Black Ops protagonist Alex Mason or become a mercenary with the Fuze Operator. Customize your loadout even further with new Bundles like the Zombie Zapper Mastercraft and the Sultan’s Wrath Reactive Mastercraft. Make sure you’ve topped up your Call of Duty Points balance to access these bundles on release!

The Haunting event

In the shadows of all these Season 6 goodies, The Haunting is lurking. Battle it out in this nightmare featuring your favorite horror movies. This Halloween event is set to launch on October 19, for both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War. Unfortunately, we won’t receive the full details for The Haunting until October 18, so stay tuned for more info and updates!
