It’s that time again: the Team of the Year promo is returning to FIFA in FIFA 22. This year, EA has shortlisted 80 players that dominated the pitch in the past year. But it’s up to you to decide which nominees will make it to the final 11 of the Team of the Year. The voting lines are already open so let’s dig right into the details for the Team of the Year promo in FIFA 22!
What is Team of the Year (TOTY) promo?
The Team of the Year promo is a yearly event in FIFA that features the best players from the past 12 months. Players from the TOTY are released with special TOTY Player Items and some of the highest ratings in the game. As a result, the TOTY Player Cards are some of the most desired cards for FIFA Ultimate Team. Keep an eye out for these Cards to optimize your FUT squad even further!
How does the Team of the Year event work?
The Team of the Year event consists of two stages. In the first stage, EA creates a shortlist of the best players from the past year: the nominees. Players can then vote on these nominees by creating a team of their favorite 11 players. After the voting is closed, the final Team of the Year is released in the second stage of the event, based on the votes of players all over the world. This year, EA has nominated 80 total players and you can vote between January 10 and January 17!
