Roblox Plus vs. Premium subscription: what's changed in 2026

Roblox Plus launched on April 30, 2026, replacing the Premium subscription. Existing Premium members can keep their subscription, but will lose the 10% Robux bonus and Premium logo from May 30, 2026. With Plus, you get a 10 to 20% discount on in-game items, free private servers, and zero-fee Robux transfers for £4,99 per month.

What is Roblox Plus?

Roblox Plus is the new Roblox subscription that launched on April 30, 2026. It offers benefits such as up to 20% off in-game Roblox items, free private servers, advanced trading privileges, and more. The new subscription will replace the former Roblox Premium subscription.

What was Roblox Premium?

Roblox Premium is the previous Roblox subscription. It gave members access to perks such as bonus Robux, an exclusive trading system, and more. This Roblox subscription was replaced by Roblox Plus on April 30, 2026. However, existing Roblox Premium members can choose to keep their subscription, albeit with a few changes.

Roblox Premium changes: May 30, 2026

For Roblox Premium members who choose to keep their subscription, some changes are coming on May 30, 2026. As of this date, Roblox Premium will no longer include:

10% extra Robux bonus.
Roblox Premium logo.

Roblox Plus vs. Roblox Premium

The Roblox Plus subscription will eventually also include a monthly Robux allowance ranging from 500 to 2000 Robux every month:

Plus 500: Roblox Plus and 500 monthly Robux.
Plus 1000: Roblox Plus and 1000 monthly Robux.
Plus 2000: Roblox Plus and 2000 monthly Robux.

The costs of these Plus subscriptions aren’t known yet.

Should you switch from Roblox Premium to Plus?

Whether you want to switch from Roblox Premium to Plus mostly depends on what’s important to you as a player. The main benefit of the Plus subscription is the discount on in-game items and private servers. If that’s important to you, then it might be worth switching to Plus.

However, the main item that’s missing from the Plus subscription is the 10% extra Robux when you buy with your membership. If you primarily use your Premium membership to buy Robux, it may be better to stick to this subscription for now.

How to make the most of your Robux

Want to make the most of your Robux? We’ve got some tips for you:

Use the Plus subscription discount: new Roblox Plus members get 10% off in-game items and avatar items
Unlock the loyalty reward: if you’re subscribed to Roblox for three months, your 10% discount grows to a 20% discount, so you can get even more items with your Robux.

This significantly increases the value of your Robux. For example, with a £10 gift card, you can buy around 800 Robux, which is roughly 8 to 10 small accessories. However, because all the items are 10% to 20% off, you’ll be able to buy 11 to 13 items!

Can I pay for Roblox Plus with a Roblox Gift Card?

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to buy your Roblox Plus subscription with a Roblox Gift Card. However, you can use your Roblox credit alongside the Plus discount to buy items! Follow these steps to redeem your Roblox credit:

Buy your Roblox Gift Card at Startselect.
Visit roblox.com/redeem.
Log in to your Roblox account that’s connected to your Plus subscription.
Enter your PIN code in the white box on the website and click ‘Redeem’.
Now search for the Roblox items you want to buy and add them to your cart.
At checkout, select Roblox Credit as your payment method.
Complete your purchase, and the discount is applied automatically!
