FireRed vs. LeafGreen: other small differences

Besides the different Pokémon, there are a couple of small differences between the 2 games. These differences are so minuscule that they probably won’t have a big impact on your experience, but we’ve listed them nonetheless.

Deoxys attacks

Deoxys is a Psychic-type Mythical Pokémon that can change the way it looks depending on the situation. If you manage to catch Deoxys in the game, the Pokémon takes on a different form determined by the version you have. FireRed only has the Attack Forme, and LeafGreen only has the Defense Forme.

Game Corner prices

Another thing that’s different in the 2 games is the Game Corner prices. For example, Pinsir is cheaper than Scyther in LeafGreen, but this is not the case in FireRed.

Trades

The trainers you’ll come across on your journey will offer different trades depending on the version you have. For example, a trainer on Route 18 will trade you a Lickitung for a Slowbro in LeafGreen, but in FireRed, the trade is for a Golduck.
