It’s a wrap! This year’s PlayStation Showcase is in the books and we got to take a look at some of the most anticipated titles for this holiday and beyond. Did you miss the official broadcast? God of War fans have been patiently waiting for an update on the next installment in the franchise. This patience has finally been rewarded with the first official trailer for the new entry to the series: God of War Ragnarök. The game picks up a few years after the events of God of War (2018) and focuses on the bond between Kratos and his son Atreus. The Fimbulwinter has arrived and forebodes the occurrence of Ragnarok: the total annihilation of the Nine Realms.
We also got a brief look at both Freya and Thor, the two antagonists you will have to defeat in your new journey. The new trailer even revealed some more details on new attack abilities as well as some fresh improvements to combat. Fans of the series will also be happy to know that you can visit all Nine Realms within God of War Ragnarök. The new installment is officially set to launch in 2022.

Start your engines! Fans of classic cars and iconic tracks can indulge themselves in Gran Turismo 7, releasing on March 4, 2022. The sequel to Gran Turismo 6 brings back the fan-favorite GT Campaign mode which has players take their own unique journeys across the GT World Map. Get creative in the completely renewed Livery Editor and design your favorite look. Found the perfect color combination? Snap some pictures of your car in the photorealistic Scapes mode.
Automotive enthusiasts will love all the new tuning options and the Car Collection feature which allows players to truly connect with their cars. Even more good news: the Legendary Circuits are also making a comeback with historic circuits like Trial Mountain and High-Speed Ring. May the force be with you! Aspyr Media, Lucasfilm Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment have partnered up to remake this classic RPG. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic takes place 4000 years before the original trilogy, introducing a rich story world with new heroes and villains.
Nearly 20 years after its initial release, this epic experience is being rebuilt with modern visuals and new gameplay features while staying true to the original. The game is still in early development but Aspyr Media have gathered a team of industry veterans that are keen to live up to the hype. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - Remake will launch as a console exclusive on PlayStation 5 at launch.

Team Rainbow takes one a completely new threat in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction. Fight against biological weapons and alien parasites (Archaeans) in this PvE Rainbow Six Experience. Explore on your own or with two friends in co-op and survive three zones in each map.
The new installment features 12 new maps and over 90 new weapons to discover. Mow down 13 different types of Archaeans with a selection of 18 different Operators. Found your favorite operator? Upgrade your skill set in the completely overhauled Operator progression system and utilize new gadgets and abilities along the way. You can even challenge yourself in the Maelstrom Protocol ranked mode which offers top tier rewards. Rainbow Six Extraction releases in January 2022 and supports cross-play and free post-launch content!

Insomniac Games has announced two new titles for PlayStation 5 consoles: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine. Peter Parker and Miles Morales continue their adventure in an all new single-player game coming exclusively to PS5 in 2023. The sequel takes full advantage of the next-gen consoles and features all original voice actors. Sharpen your claws and get ready for Marvel’s Wolverine. This standalone game offers a fresh take on Wolverine while remaining true to the character that fans have come to love.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is coming to PS5 and PC! Nathan Drake makes his first appearance on the next-gen console in this remastered bundle. Hunt for Captain Avery’s treasure in Uncharted 4: Thief’s End or locate the Golden Tusk of Ganesh as Chloe Frazer in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. This ultimate Uncharted collection will be available on PS5 in early 2022 and shortly after on PC.
Deathloop takes us down the rabbit hole in its latest story trailer. Take on the role of Colt in this action-adventure game and free yourself from the time loop on the island of Blackreef. You can start taking on all eight targets across the island on September 14th, when Deathloop launches exclusively for PS5.
GTAV and GTA Online are coming to PS5 in March of 2022. Los Santos has never looked this good with stunning new visuals and enhanced gameplay all across the board. Alan Wake Remastered is exciting news for fans of story-driven horror games. Journey into the night of October 5 with Alan Wake’s first appearance on the PlayStation. This remaster offers graphical enhancements and two story-expansions to create a complete package for both new and returning players.
Bloodhunt had already been announced for PC but it now joins the PlayStation family with a release date set for later this year. Conquer the night in this third-person battle royale, set in the old town of Prague. Use both supernatural powers and your favorite weapons to win thrilling battles and defeat rivaling vampire factions.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is coming to PS4 and PS5 on October 26, 2021. In the new story trailer, we can catch a glimpse of Cosmo, a dog with extremely impressive telepathic powers. He will help the Guardians in a new adventure that takes place twelve years after the Galactic War, right after Star-Lord has formed the Guardians of the Galaxy.
