Mortal Kombat X

First on the list of free games in October is Mortal Kombat X. The tenth entry to the Mortal Kombat series introduces a large character roster with three distinct fighting styles for each fighter. Summon fire demons with Hellfire Scorpion or wield icey blades with Cryomancer Sub-Zero. There are tons of options available with 33 different playable characters. The classic Mortal Kombat cast is even expanded with famous movie icons! Feeling spooky? Try out Jason Voorhees or Leatherface and strike fear in the hearts of your online opponents. Of course, Mortal Kombat X wouldn’t be a Mortal Kombat game without numerous Fatalities and Brutalities that fans have come to expect and love. End your battle in style with Classic Fatalities, Stage Fatalities, Faction Kills and Brutalities. Finish them!

Hell Let Loose

Do you prefer realistic combat over fighting in otherworldly realms? Then Hell Let Loose is your download for October! This massive tactical FPS features epic 50 versus 50 battles in a realistic World War II setting. Select one of 14 playable roles and fight for control over sections in large-scale maps. Each team consists of smaller infantry, recon and armour units, all equipped with realistic weaponry and vehicles. But Hell Let Loos gets even better! The game offers unique communication mechanics that allow for communication between units, officers and even players of opposing teams (through proximity chat). Officers must lead their squad and communicate with their team’s commander. This is where the real-time strategy element of Hell Let Loose kicks in. The commander is in charge of giving orders such as tank deployments or air strikes. Doing so will cost resources which have to be supplied by engineers on the battlefield. Are you up for this strategic and realistic World War II experience?
