The character creation process in Hogwarts Legacy is (expected to be) super detailed! It goes a lot further than just choosing between boy or girl, skin tone and hair color. There are a lot of hyper realistic customization options for your character’s appearance and clothing. You can even choose to give your character certain scars! Judging from what we know so far, there’s so much detail going into each piece of clothing and armor, it looks very promising! And like the video below says: looks like we can count on some real robe physics!
If you’re going to experience life as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, you’ll have to grow your magical abilities. How else could you embark on a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world? So how to grow these skills? This is where the Room of Requirement comes in. Here, you can customize and grow your abilities.

In Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll learn how to master powerful spells, brew potions and harvest magical plants. Various missions and encounters will force you to make difficult choices and decide what you stand for in this magical universe. All of this will then determine the kind of Witch or Wizard you’ll become in the game. You get to decide whether you want to make good or bad choices and how that plays out for you in the end.
Next to being a top student in terms of classes and learning spells, you’ll get access to all kinds of upgrade possibilities for your talents, skill set and overall level in the game. Not only are you able to complete challenges throughout the entire world to grow your XP, you can also upgrade your magical gear and specialize it to maximize your offensive and defensive capabilities. Tweak them to perfection and match them with your personal playing style. To define your combat abilities even more, mix up your spells, powers and gear to become an expert duellist and defeat any opponent you’ll encounter.

Because there’s nothing more magical than the power of friendship, right? And what’s more fun than exploring an entire wizarding school in a castle with your friends. Sign us up right now!
No. Unfortunately Hogwarts Legacy will not be a multiplayer or MMORPG. It will be a single player RPG without the possibility to play online with others. But maybe Warner Bros. Games, Avalanche and Portkey Games will have a multiplayer function lined up for us in the future? Who knows!
No, unfortunately, up until now it looks like it won’t be possible to play Quidditch in the Hogwarts Legacy game. The (rumored) reason for this is the fact that Hogwarts Legacy is a single-player game so playing (multiplayer) quidditch is not a possibility (for now at least!) However, it will be possible to take Flying classes and attend broom races. Oh and don’t forget that you can even tame, mount and ride magical beasts if you PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS! Stay in school, kids.
Hogwarts Legacy can be played on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Project Scarlett, Microsoft Windows PC. So to debunk some gossip we’ve heard flying around:
The Hogwarts Legacy game is set in the 1800s, so that’s long before the adventures of Harry Potter and even before the story of Newt Scamander and his Fantastic Beasts, which is set in the early 1900s. So there will be a lot of recognizable aspects from the books and movies, especially when it comes to the locations and the overall wizarding ‘lifestyle’.
But as far as characters and the story go, this will be a whole new adventure in itself. Which we think is great, because you’ll be able to really live your own wizarding life in the game and not play according to stories, facts and spoilers you already know from previous events in this magical franchise. There will be no familiar faces, such as teachers or other characters you know. So it’s a brand new adventure!
Can’t wait for Hogwarts Legacy to come out?
Now we know big productions like Hogwarts Legacy are prone to delays, but here’s to hoping it’s released on time to be put under Christmas trees and into Christmas stockings worldwide. In the meantime, while you’re waiting for Hogwarts Legacy to release, how ‘bout some Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo gift cards? And if it’s more hocus-pocus you’re looking for, you might be interested in Might & Magic Heroes VII – Trial by Fire or THE SIMS 4 - Realm of Magic.
