FIFA Team of the Season (TotS) 2021, what do we know?

It’s kicking off again, and how! FIFA 21 Team of the Season is approaching fast and we are super excited about it! Here’s everything we can already tell you about the event and what to expect.

What is FIFA Team of the Season?

Team of the Season, better known as TOTS in the FIFA community, is an entire month of supercharged player card releases. These cards are released weekly and only contain the most solid, promising and best performing players of the world’s top leagues. It used to be known as the Most Consistent Team of the Season and has always been made up of the best performing players from the 2020-2021 campaign.

FIFA 21 TotS release date

FIFA 21 Team of the Season will (likely) begin on Friday, April 23. The voting for TOTS has launched early this year so it’s safe to assume that April 23 is the starting date. EA Sports releases a Team of the Week squad every wednesday, usually containing players that have scored multiple goals or provided multiple assists. The downside to this is that the more defensive players and forwards that don’t have such a high amount of scored goals get left out in these releases. Thankfully, these players get their recognition in the community squad which is voted on by you, the loyal fans!

Predictions and nominated players

We know that the top five leagues of Europe (Premier, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1) will get their own TOTS squad. But there will also be squads for Super Liga, Liga Nos, Eredivisie, CSL, MLS< Sauldi Pro League and an additional combined squat for the EFL which is predicted to contain players from League One, League Two and the Championship. And at the very end of the Team of the Season event there will be a re-release of all the highest rated players from the TOTS promotion.
