EA SPORTS recently shared the very first FIFA 22 footage, giving us an awesome preview of the latest Hypermotion Technology that will be available on all Next-Gen consoles and on Stadia. Any FIFA fan is probably ecstatic after seeing this first FIFA 22 footage! But these trailers always come with a lot more questions. So here it is: everything you need to know about FIFA 22 and its announced release on October 1, 2021.
FIFA 22 will be available worldwide on October 1, 2021 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, on PC via Steam, Origin and on Stadia. The pre-order of both the PC Standard Edition and the PC Early Ultimate Edition are now available at Startselect.
And trust us, you’ll want this pre-order! Because with the Ultimate Edition you can start playing 4 days earlier than the official release! But that’s not all, if you have an EA Play subscription you can play FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition 1 week earlier! One whole week! That’s one way to get ahead of everyone. Get that ultimate feeling and optimal control, get used to the brand new Hypermotion Technology. Hyped yet?
It sounds so fancy, but what is it exactly? Simply put, the HyperMotion Technology ensures that the movements of 22 professional football players are Motion Captured. These moves are then integrated into the game. In addition, EA has its own 'Machine Learning Algorithm' that contributes to super organic football movements in the game with more than 8.7 million frames. So it’s pretty safe to say that FIFA 22 looks and more importantly: feels real, smooth and more natural than any other game.

Everyone is always super curious about what else FIFA 22 will have in store. Understandably! As you may know, EA SPORTS is always very careful with what they reveal, but what do we see in the trailer? Kylian Mbappe, Christian Pulisic and Trent Alexander-Arnold show how FIFA 22 implements the real-life moves of these top talents into gameplay with HyperMotion Technology. That already promises a lot!
Also, the Division Rivals and FUT Champions have become more accessible, and now you can test your skills and progress against other players with all-new customization options, on and off the field. FIFA 22 also introduces FUT-Heroes, where the world's most memorable players return to the game!
Speaking of memorable players, we can now ask ourselves whether Messi (OVR 93) will keep his place at the top, or whether he should hand over his crown to a new talent. However, it is unlikely that he will be downgraded again in FIFA 22, as he already dropped from 94 to 93 last season.
Ronaldo is, as usual, unstoppable. He is expected to keep his 92 OVR for the time being. Maybe he hasn’t been at his personal peak for a while, but for now he still leaves most other players fairly far behind him.
Then there’s Lewandowski (OVR 92) who, with his bizarre number of goals, managed to position himself in a ranking equal to Messi and Ronaldo. Not bad at all! There’s a good chance that his talent will be recognized in FIFA 22 and that he’ll be assigned a worthy position there as well.
FIFA 22 is undoubtedly going to be a fantastic game. The first images and trailer promise great things and we can hardly wait until October 1st comes along. Do you want to be the first to experience FIFA 22? Pre-order the game now (PC only) and play up to 1 whole week* sooner than everyone else!
