After postponing the release a couple of times, Rockstar has officially announced that GTA 6 will release on November 19, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

GTA 6 follows Lucia and Jason, who are a modern Bonnie and Clyde. Lucia is the first playable female character in GTA history. The game is set in Vice City, with a map that’s supposedly twice the size of GTA 5.

GTA 6 takes place in Vice City, which is a fictional city located in the fictional state of Leonidas. Vice City first appeared in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and is inspired by Miami. From the beach to the swamps and the glitz to the ghetto, it’s a very versatile town and the perfect scene for some GTA-madness.
The biggest GTA map yet?
No official information about the GTA 6 map has been released yet, but the rumours are quite promising. Players speculate that the map will be double the size of the one from GTA 5. However, we have to take these speculations with a grain of salt.

How much will GTA 6 cost?
As of now, the price for GTA 6 is not known. Rumours about the game’s price tag are all over the place, with numbers ranging from €60 all the way to over €100. When GTA 5 came out, the game cost €59,99. We can at least expect a similar price for Grand Theft Auto 6. It’s likely that Rockstar will also release some sort of premium edition, which will be more expensive.
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until more information is released to know the official price for GTA 6.
What consoles will GTA 6 be on?
Rockstar Games confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. GTA 6 will most likely eventually release on PC too, but it may launch later than on other consoles. Whether the game will also come to previous-gen consoles, like PS4 and Xbox One, is not known yet.
Will there be a new GTA Online?
In an interview that IGN did with the Take-Two boss, Strauss Zelnick, they asked what would happen to GTA Online when GTA 6 launches. The answer: “Generally speaking, we support our properties when the consumers are involved with those titles.” The Take-Two boss then made the comparison with NBA 2K Online 2, saying that both the Online 1 and Online 2 versions of the game are on the market and both have ‘massive audiences’.
Zelnick finished the statement with: “We've shown a willingness to support legacy titles when a community wants to be engaged with them.” So if we follow this statement, there’s a big possibility that GTA Online will get a second version somewhere along the line.
