Yes, the price of Game Pass Core remains exactly the same. This means you can keep your Xbox membership without any additional cost.

On September 14, 2023, all Xbox Live Gold members automatically became Game Pass Core members. This means you’ve kept all your membership benefits and gained immediate access to the new Xbox Game Pass Core catalog.

Games with Gold was replaced by the game catalog in the Game Pass Core subscription. Games that you previously claimed through the Games with Gold program will persist in your account. More specifically, Xbox One titles can still be accessed as long as you’re a Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate member, while Xbox 360 and Original Xbox titles will remain in your library regardless of your subscription status.

Yes, Xbox Live Gold cards remain redeemable for the equivalent duration of Game Pass Core time, ensuring a smooth transition between the two subscriptions.

Via your Xbox console:

  1. Go to the Xbox Games Store
  2. Select "Use a code" and enter the Xbox code


Via the Xbox app:

  1. Open the menu and go to the Microsoft Store
  2. Select "Redeem a code" and enter the Xbox code


Via Microsoft.com/redeem:

  • Sign in to your Microsoft account and enter the Xbox code
