If you do not actively use your PrePaid SIM card for more than 6 months, T-Mobile will place a block on the SIM card for a period of 30 days. This block ensures that you can no longer use the number. Before we place the block, you will receive three text messages as an announcement. Do you top up within 30 days (online, online with a top-up card or via My T-Mobile)? Then the block will be automatically removed (this can take up to 24 hours) and you can use the number again. Not doing an upgrade? Then the SIM card will be disconnected from our network after 30 days.

The reason we block SIM cards after 6 months of no use is that we do not want to leave telephone numbers active on the network for an unnecessarily long time. This is because PrePaid connections are often only used for a short time, and a cancellation is not necessary with PrePaid. For more information, see the General Terms and Conditions PrePaid (pdf).
