I think it’s fair to say that not every PlayStation Plus line-up is very strong. But this month there’s very little to complain about, with the charming puzzle-platformer Tearaway Unfolded headlining the free titles and Disc Jam promising to be a new Rocket League. Let’s get right down to the full list of games:
You can download these games starting March 7th, so this weekend is your last chance to download February’s free titles. Need a new PlayStation Plus subscription? You know where to find it! (Availability depending on region)
Tearaway is a platformer by Tarsier Studios and Media Molecule, the studio behind the LittleBigPlanet series. Unfolded is an expanded remake of the original game that came out on the PlayStation Vita and like the original it takes place in a world entirely made of paper. You can manipulate this paper world to solve puzzles, by using the touchpad on your DualShock controller.
Disc Jam is what critics are calling “the new Rocket League”. Not because it’s a game about playing football with little cars, but because it’s a fast-paced multiplayer battle sports sci-fi sort of thingy. Yep. In 1v1 or 2v2 battles, you’ll have to swing and bounce a disc to the other side of the playing field. It’s Pong, but a little more brutal, as the trailer above shows.
Lumo is a charming 3D isometric platformer that aims to provide a 'modern take on a long-forgotten genre'. Jump and puzzle your way through over 500 rooms in this charming game that will certainly tug at the nostalgia strings for some of us.
