April is almost here and brings a new set of games for Xbox Live Gold members to add to their collection. On Xbox One, players can download Ryse: Son of Rome and The Walking Dead: Season 2 for free. They can also download Xbox 360 releases Darksiders and Assassins creed Revelations via backwards compatability. Here's the full schedule of what to expect next month:
Ryse Son of Rome takes the lead in this month's lineup of games. The hack and slash action title puts you in the shoes of a roman centurion trying to avenge his family and save Rome.
The Walking Dead: Season 2 is the second season to Telltale's The Walking Dead series. Set a after an apocalypse has reduced the world to zombies and survivors, you play as eleven-year-old Clementine as she tries to survive in a world where people might be the real monsters. Never thought a game mostly based on making choices could be incredibly tense and engaging? You thought wrong. While season 2 can be played as a standalone game, we strongly suggest picking up the The Walking Dead: Season 1 first to fully appreciate the story.
Darksiders is another Hack and Slash title in which the player controls War, one of the four horsemen of the apocalpyse. As War, the player attempts to uphold balance between Heaven and Hell, destroying any obstable in their way. There's some puzzling, some exploring and a whole lot of fighting.
Assassins Creed Revelations Assassins Creed Revelations is the fourth game in the Assassins Creed franchise and the third game in the 'Ezio Trilogy'. You control Ezio, a 16th century assassin seeking to end an age-old conflict with the Templar order. Explore the open world of Constantinople as you run across rooftops like it's easy and assassinate your targets with deadly precision. We recommend playing Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood first to fully understand the story, but the game can be played as a standalone.
