Feel like trying your hand at some multiplayer, but you’re not currently an Xbox gold or PlayStation Plus member? Good news: both Microsoft and Sony are offering free multiplayer access in the comings days for their respective consoles.
If you own an Xbox 360 or an Xbox One and are a member of Xbox live: congratulations, you can probably play multiplayer for free from today until February 19th. In addition to the multiplayer of your favorite games now being free, you’ll also have access to Rocket League and NBA 2K17 until the end of the event. We suggest you definitely try out Rocket League; it’s a bit of an office favorite.
It seems great minds think alike: from February 22 to February 26, Sony will make PlayStation Plus free, meaning you can play your favorite games online to heart’s desire. You won’t need to redeem anything or sign up: simply boot up your PlayStation and play your favorite games online. Note that the free promotion only applies to multiplayer access; the PlayStation Plus games won’t be available for download. For these you’ll still have to pay for a PlayStation Plus subscription.
Want to continue playing online after the event ends? We’ve got you covered:
