Fire Emblem: Heroes was recently announced as a mobile-friendly version of the classic strategic RPG series. The battles take place on a 6-by-8 grid. This is smaller than the usual battlefields in Fire Emblem, but that's perfect for the smaller smartphone-screens you'll be playing on.
Other than that, the game sticks pretty close to its usual formula. You'll take turns moving your Heroes around on the battlefield, with the goal to eliminate all enemies. Your Heroes will grow stronger as you'll progress through the game and there's a story that ties all the different battles together.
Fire Emblem: Heroes is free to play, but of course it supports microtransactions. You can buy Orbs that will allow you to summon new characters from other Fire Emblem titles. There's currently an event with bonus Orbs and exclusive Heroes to celebrate the launch, so you might want to jump in as fast as you can. You can find all the iTunes or Android credit you'll need, right here on Startselect.
