FIFA 18 Icons

The legends that have retired on the field will be coming back in FIFA 18. The legends, or Icons in FIFA 18, are described as the best of the best and will come in three variants based on different stages of their careers.

The Xbox exclusive legends won’t be that exclusive anymore in FIFA 18. Now, everyone has a chance to unpack those heroes. In FIFA 18 these legends are called Icons and will be coming in three different variants based on different stages of their careers. That means the cards also have different ratings based on their performance. Until now 16 FIFA 18 Icons have been announced.

Lev Yashin: Goalkeeper

The only goalkeeper to ever won the Ballon d'Or, save 150 penalties and had 270 clean sheets. Some statistics you can’t argue about. The best player card will be in 1963, with ratings higher than 95 you will probably also get a lot of clean sheets.

Maradona: Attacking Midfielder

Maradona is blessed with incredible dribbling skills and has scored one of the greatest goals ever made by beating almost half of the England team on his own. Some say he won the World Cup by himself in 1986. Maradona has the second best player card in the game until now. With an overall rating of 97 and a dribble rating of 97, no defender will be able to stop you in the game.

Pelé: Striker

Brazil’s top scorer won the World Cup in Sweden at the age of 17 and was part of the squad winning the World Cup four years later. He finished his career having scored over 600 goals. Pelé holds the best player card at the start of FIFA 18. Unpacking him in 1970 and you will be having the best player in the game running on your team. He’s incredible at nearly everything.

Ronaldo Nazário: Striker

The 3-time winner of the World Player of the Year and one of the best players ever lived. His memorial free kicks, lightning fast dribbles and careers at PSV, Barcelona and the Brazilian team earn him a place in FIFA 18. The best player card for Ronaldo will be in 1997, with his pace of 97 an unstoppable force. Shoot from every place in the field, with his shot of 95 he’s a goal scorer you can’t miss in your team.

Ronaldinho: Midfielder

The flamboyant attacking midfielder everyone in the world knows. You just have to love Ronaldinho. His charm and love for the sport were noticeable in the field, entertaining the crowd with his skills and goals. Two-time winner of FIFA World Player of the Year and one-time winner of the Ballon d’Or. Ronaldinho was at his best in 2004 with an overall rating of 94 and his offensive stats above 90. A player everyone needs in his team.
