It’s time to look at the free PlayStation Plus games for next month. In August, we got a fun little indie title plus an impressive space exploration game. Here’s the full list for this month.
You can download these (and the other games) for free starting next week. Need to renew your PlayStation Plus subscription? Check out our PlayStation products! (Not yet available in all regions)
Tricky Towers
Tricky Towers is a puzzle game made by the Dutch studio WeirdBeard Games. You have to build a tower by stacking up Tetris-blocks, while little wizards on clouds give you power-ups or try to break your tower down. It originally released on mobile platforms as 99 Bricks: Wizard Academy, but will release on PS4 and PC next month. This powered up version supports local and online multiplayer for up to four players.
Rebel Galaxy
In Rebel Galaxy you take control of a spaceship in a procedurally generated universe. You can become a noble merchant and fill your days trading resources between star systems, or you can go down the path of mercenary for hire and destroy other ships. Don’t feel like following any rules at all? You can always become a pirate! Okay, the whole thing sounds a lot like No Man’s Sky, but we’re not complaining!
