For today's news overview, Ferry gives a couple of lessons in animation. But there's also stuff from The Witcher 3, Destiny's new expansion and our new favourite Twitter account in which Trump plays Dungeons & Dragons.

Yesterday I stumbled across an article from Kotaku about the animation techniques that make Overwatch have so much character. Apparently these are techniques that are heavily used by Pixar, Dreamworks, Disney etc, but rarely in games, since most game devs don’t grow up with these techniques. From the article I got into a couple of video’s that explain how bending the rules of physics can work to give a character a certain charm. It’s astounding how such small details can have such an impact on the “feel” of the game. We also have an example of the Jak and Daxter devs explaining these techniques. And a quick overview of these techniques, and others that are interesting enough to warrant a view.
On to the actual news then!
