Dark Souls III follows the gameplay design from Dark Souls II as closely as possible, but combat and movement were made faster and more fluid. This allows players to better avoid damage and counter attacks quickly.

Each attack has two different styles. The first is of course the normal attack, but the second version provides power-ups to players, making the attacks a little more powerful. This consumes magic points, that players need to replenish by consuming ashes.

Developer From Software also decided to introduce a bit more role-playing elements to the series. Gravestones provide additional lore information, while expanded character building and weapon customizations allow the player to tweak the game to their will.

Are you up for a challenge? The 'Souls' series is the very best that modern gaming has to offer, but it's also probably the hardest that modern gaming has to offer.
