It's no secret that GTA Online is a huge (financial) success for Rockstar Games. The game is, however, full of cheaters and Rockstar is finally taking them down. And they're also handing out some free money. Who doesn't like free money?

Some players in GTA Online used less legitimate ways of amassing mountains of in-game money. Even within a game that's pretty much about robbing banks, stealing cars and shooting innocent bystanders, that's not cool. Rockstar is finally cracking down on this criminal criminals, by taking away all their riches. One guy even lost $117,944,768,843 of in-game currency. Yeah, poor guy.
Players who used normal means of acquiring currency, by participating in in-game activities or buying GTA Online Shark Cards, have nothing to worry about. In fact, they'll be pleased to know that Rockstar is handing out free money to celebrate the three-year anniversary of the game. They'll receive a reward of $250,000 if they log in between now and Monday October 31. The money will be transfered into your Maze Bank account by November 4. There's also a 30 percent discount on a load of vehicles, weapons, clothing and tattoos.
