It’s the first Wednesday of the month, time to see what games we can expect the coming weeks. Here’s all game releases for July 2016.

July is always a quiet month when it comes to game releases and this year it’s no different. You can find the full list of releases below, after which I’m going to talk about two games in a bit more detail.
Here’s this month’s releases:
And here's two games that I think you should definitely check out:
The first notable release this month is The Banner Saga 2, the sequel to (unsurprisingly) The Banner Saga from 2014. This sequel launched on PC earlier this month, but found its way to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on respectively July 1 and 5. Xbox One players have an extra reason to look forward to this game: it’s completely free thanks to Games With Gold.
The Banner Saga 2 continues where its predecessor left off. You have to guide your caravan through a Nordic environment, while fighting off enemy clans. These fights are turn-based and require a lot of strategic insight. But managing your caravan is no easy task either; you have to keep your people warm, fed and healthy.
Remember those glory years of J-RPG’s in the 90’s? Final Fantasy, Secret of Mana, Earthbound… I Am Setsuna is a spiritual successor to those type of games. And specifically, an homage to arguably the best (J)RPG of its time; Chrono Trigger.
I Am Setsuna tells the story of (you’ve guessed it) Setsuna, a girl who’s destined to be a sacrifice to a nearby demon, who would otherwise terrorise her homeland. The game uses the same Active Time Battle combatsystem, where you have to wait for a bar to fill up before you can perform any actions.
I Am Setsuna launches on PS4 and PC for €39,99 (or £32,99) on July 19.
